having a journal is surprisingly therapeutic. I haven’t had one in years, but it feels really good to write again :)

greenpants asked: I literally have not read any material on photo equipment since the day I got my 11-16. So I guess I have no useful input in regards to quality control, specs, etc. But, based solely on the focal length, I lean towards the 50 for you. If I'm not mistaken, you tend to do a lot of portrait-like work. And a 50 on our 1.6 sensors comes out to around 80mm which is in the ideal portrait mm range....

so about a month ago, my bicycle was stolen. That bike meant a lot to me, also since it meant a lot to my girlfriend who built it for me.
Then one night, I let my roommate borrow it to go to her friend’s house (which is what people do in this house, and I now regret letting her do that), where she proceeded to leave it on the side of the house overnight…unlocked.
